In the early 1950's the Town of Neepawa discussed the need for a more reliable water source. After contacting the PFRA, they discovered it was possible to create a lake in the area SE of Town, known as Boggy & Spring Creek Area. The project was complete in 1959 and 22 acres of farmland to the west shore of the lake was purchased  for cottage lots, picnic and camping area. lake_irwin1_400
