Goldstream Park

Goldstream Provincial Park is the gleaming emerald of Langford.

Encompassing much of City of Langford's northwest, Goldstream Park is a rare bastion of old-growth forest only a few kilometres from Langford's downtown core.

The Park's most imposing feature is Mount Finlayson: a lush mountain that rewards those that hike the numerous trails to its summit with 360° views of southern Vancouver Island, and across the Juan de Fuca Strait to the Olympic Mountains.

From mid-October through December, Goldstream River is host to thousands of spawning Chum salmon. Watch as Goldstream Park's bald eagle population – one of the largest in Canada – feast during the salmon run from riverside trails that provide extraordinary views of this iconic West Coast natural phenomenon.

Goldstream Provincial Park has Park naturalists available at the Freeman King Visitor Center that offer interpretive programs and informative lectures about the area's natural history for individuals and groups. The park also features a large picnic area with shelters, as well as vehicle accessible camping and group sites. During the summer season, the park has a small concession managed by the Park Facility Operator.
