City Centre Park - Things to Do
Photo Gallery
City Centre Park is not a traditional civic park. Instead, City Centre Park is Langford's “everything” active entertainment zone, designed and coordinated by the City's own Parks and Recreation Department.
First, there is Eagle Ridge Community Centre. In the Community Centre's Arena, roller and ball hockey leagues play for glory. Lacrosse teams duke it out on the dry floor. And the Eves of Destruction, Vancouver Island's own roller derby league, compete for points and bruises. The Community Centre facilities are also available to host birthdays and community events.
Westhills Arena is a full-size indoor ice arena with room for around 500 spectators. During the winter, City Centre Park features an Outdoor Artificial Skating Rink. In the summer, the Splash Park is the place to be to beat the heat. Constructed with the newest technology the arena has great ice for hockey, figure skating or recreational use.
Langford Lanes brings 10-pin bowling back to the lower island in a beautiful state-of-the-art facility, while Westhills Arena adds a much needed ice sheet for our young hockey up-and-comers! The Bladz Sport Shop is the place for hockey and skating gear maintenance and sales. Make your day complete with a meal in City Centre Grille with a contemporary menu in a fun, sports-themed atmosphere.
Enjoy a free outdoor exercise circuit along with trails and walkways.
