City of Langford

Live the lifestyle.

SportAssist Program

Sports generate a sense of community. By bringing children and families together in sport, the City of Langford seeks to tighten bonds between our current and future citizens. To that end, the City supports the SportAssist Program to help Langford's financially underprivileged children live a healthy lifestyle and learn leadership, discipline, dedication, and self-confidence through sport. Strong communities start with strong kids.

The SportAssist Program's mission is to eliminate the financial barriers keeping children from participating in sports. One in three Canadian families cannot afford to enroll their children in organized sports and recreation. The Langford SportAssist Program is a community-based sport funding program which provides funding for children aged 6-16 residing in Langford to participate in a sport of their choice.

The SportAssist Program requires that applicants meet certain criteria in order to be eligible for funding. Download the Application Guidelines for more information.

  • If the applicant meets all criteria detailed in the Application Guidelines, he or she must fill out a Funding Application Form.
  • If you wish to volunteer for the SportAssist Program, please fill out a Volunteer Form.
  • If you wish to donate to Langford's SportAssist Program, please fill out a Donation Form and submit it with your donation.

Completed Funding Application Forms, Volunteer Forms, and Donation Forms must be mailed or delivered in person to:
