City of Langford

The Administration Department performs many functions for the City of Langford. The department receives, analyzes and resolves citizen concerns, complaints and inquiries; ensures a secure financial position for the City; and provides leadership to all City of Langford employees. In addition, Administration provides clerical and staff support for Mayor and Council, and the Administrator.

Administration consists of the Administrator, Director of Corporate Services, Executive Assistant, Manager of Business Development and Events, Communications Assistant, Receptionist, and Administrative Floater.

The Administration Department also includes Legislative Services, Human Resources, and Records Management.

Legislative Services

The responsibilities of Legislative Services includes the production and distribution of Council agenda materials and correspondence.

Legislative Services consists of the Manager of Legislative Services and the Confidential Corporate Services Coordinator.

Human Resources

This department oversees recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff.  They also serve as a link between management and staff.

Human Resources consists of one Human Resources Advisor.

Records Management

The City of Langford's Records Management Program facilitates the identification and management of all the City's records. Records are a valuable resource as they compile the City's "corporate memory.” Records Management optimizes the accessibility of records while applying controls to ensure that the records are effectively and efficiently used, maintained and disposed of, when required.

Records Management consists of the Freedom of Information (FIO) and Records Coordinator, Scanning Technician, and Records Assistant.
