Property Tax Payments

New for 2021: The Home Owner Grant program is now fully administered by the Province, not the City. All Home Owner Grant applications are submitted online through the province's website. The home owner grant application process has changed, but program details and eligibility requirements have not changed. For more information, please visit their website or call 1-888-355-2700.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Langford City Hall is open by appointment only. Please call (250) 391-3410 for more information or to schedule an appointment. The 2021 property tax due date is July 2nd, 2021. 

Accepted Payment Methods

Online/Telephone Banking

Your folio number (without the period) is your account number. The payee is "Langford City Property Taxes". Ensure payment is made before your financial institution's local cut off time on July 2, 2021.

At the Bank

Pay in person at most financial institutions. Ensure payment is made before your financial institution's local cut off time on July 2, 2021. Your Home Owner Grant cannot be processed through your bank and still needs to be claimed (if eligible) via the Province's website (available in early 2021).

Credit Card Online

Credit cards cannot be processed at City Hall. Payment of property taxes with MasterCard & Visa is available through Paymentus online and by telephone (1-855-570-0989). There will be an upfront fee of 1.75% charged between the taxpayer and Paymentus.

Canada Post Mail

Make cheques payable to the City of Langford. Please include the folio number on the cheque. Dishonoured cheques constitute non-payment of taxes and will be subject to penalty, interest and a service charge. Mail lost or delayed by the post office will be subject to penalty. Please retain the upper portion for your records and return the payment stub with your remittance.

At City Hall

For the health and safety of yourself, our staff and other taxpayers, please consider paying online. City Hall remains closed for walk-up traffic due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Access to City Hall is by appointment only. Stay home, stay safe, stay online. If you have questions or need to schedule an appointment, please contact the Property Tax Dept at (250) 391-3410 or lnterac and cheques (including post -dated cheques) are accepted. Please ensure your lnterac card limit is sufficient for your payment. After hours cheque payments are accepted via the drop box outside the City Hall front door. Credit cards are not accepted at City Hall (please see above). For 2021, please avoid paying with cash. Please only use cash if absolutely necessary.
