Question - How do traffic sensors work at intersections?
Traffic signals are triggered when a sensor placed under the surface of the road detects the presence (not the weight) of the metal of a vehicle or bike above it or by video detection. It may be difficult to see where sensors have been placed if a road has been resurfaced. Make sure you stop your vehicle with the front bumper behind the stop line to trigger the sensor.
