Langford’s Annual Winter Celebration Returns!

Langford is lighting up the season once again with its beloved winter celebration! Whether you’re admiring the glow of holiday lights across the city, enjoying festive activities with friends, or capturing that perfect family photo, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

This year, we’re kicking things off with an extended Light Up Weekend, featuring a Winter Market, the return of the holiday carousel, and all the traditional fun you know and love. From seasonal treats to magical moments, it’s the perfect way to welcome the holidays the Langford way, full of light, laughter, and community spirit.

The Annual Langford Light Up returns for another year with even more sparkle!

Date: December 6th

Location: The Langford Station (720 Station Ave) and Veterans Memorial Park

Langford’s most magical night of the year is back—and brighter than ever! Join us for an evening full of festive fun, live entertainment, and holiday cheer across two vibrant locations.

Light Up Highlights:

At the Langford Station Arts & Cultural District:

  • Winter Market supporting the South Island Primary Care Society
  • Whoville Hut with The Grinch (photo ops from 5:00–7:00 PM)
  • Cookie Decorating Station
  • Live Performances on the Station Avenue Stage:
    • Trounce Alley Quartet – 3:00–4:00 PM
    • Ablaze Choir – 4:00–5:00 PM
    • PACE Musical Theatre – 5:00–6:00 PM
    • Victoria Gymnastics Performance – 5:00 PM
    • Westshore Community Band – 6:00–7:00 PM

At Veterans Memorial Park:

  • Free hot dogs, hot chocolate and apple cider (while supplies last)
  • Winter Market supporting the South Island Primary Care Society
  • Langford Carousel (1:00–8:00 PM)
  • Tinsel Gazebo with Santa (arrives at 5:15 PM on the Langford Fire Truck; photos & visits until 7:00 PM)
  • Veterans Memorial Stage:
    • DJ Lo Fi – 2:00–8:00 PM
    • Elevate Dance Performance – 6:10 PM
    • Mostly Motown Christmas – 6:00–7:30 PM
  • Tree Lighting Ceremony at 7:15 PM

Plus: crafts, balloon artists, princess visits, food trucks, local retailers, and more!

IEOA Truck Parade passes through Langford around 7:30 PM, featuring a dazzling convoy of festively decorated trucks.

Community Giving:
Bring a non-perishable food item to support the Goldstream Food Bank.
Make a donation to the South Island Primary Care Society using Tip Tap stations located throughout the event.

Crossing guards will be on site to assist with safe crossings at Veterans Memorial Parkway.

Parking is limited—please walk, cycle, or use Langford’s free parking lots at The Langford Station and Claude Road.

Celebrate the season with a whirl of holiday magic at Veterans Memorial Park! The Carousel in the Park returns as part of a three-day weekend of festivities, offering fun for the whole family.

Weekend Schedule:

Friday, December 5 | 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Kick off the weekend with a magical carousel ride, enjoy live holiday music, and warm up with festive drinks from Morningstar Coffee’s Mobile Cart.

Saturday, December 6 | 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
The carousel fun continues alongside the Annual Langford Light Up and Winter Market! Enjoy a full evening of entertainment, crafts, food trucks, Santa & The Grinch visits, and more.

Sunday, December 7 | 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Wrap up the weekend with another day of carousel rides and explore the Winter Market at Veterans Memorial Park.

The Holiday LEGO Exhibit Returns to Westshore Town Centre!

What’s more exciting than a LEGO exhibit? A holiday-themed LEGO experience inspired by Langford during the festive season—returning to Westshore Town Centre with even more magic!

This year’s exhibit features inspiration from gingerbread, Frozen and Hoth; all built from LEGO! Whether you’re a LEGO enthusiast or simply looking for a festive outing, this display is sure to delight visitors of all ages.

The award-winning Tinsel Gazebo returns to Veterans Memorial Park from December 5 to January 5, featuring hundreds of glittering tinsel ornaments and lights, perfect for festive photos!

New this year, visit Station Avenue for the Whoville Hut and a giant wreath photo station, plus more light displays at The Langford Station and Westin Bear Mountain Resort.

Join us for a brand-new holiday tradition in Langford! The Winter Fest Market brings together festive lights, live music, local vendors, and a cozy Christmas village atmosphere, all in support of improving access to primary care on Vancouver Island.

All proceeds benefit South Island Primary Care Society (SIPCS), a nonprofit working to recruit and retain family doctors, support clinics, and close the gap in local healthcare. Tip Tap donation stations will be available throughout the event.

Consider donating to the Goldstream Foodbank this holiday season and help make a difference in your community. The Goldstream Foodbank has been in operation since 1983 and helps hundreds of families and individuals each year. Your monetary dollar donation goes much further at a wholesale level because the food bank has better purchasing power. Approximately every dollar donated allows them to purchase two dollars worth of food.

Each year, the Outdoor Skating Rink at City Centre Park transforms into a dazzling winter wonderland, filled with sparkling lights and festive decorations. Whether you’re gliding across the ice or cozying up by the fire, it’s the perfect seasonal outing for families and friends.

Enjoy full food and beverage service from the City Centre Grille, offering everything from quick bites to warm hot chocolate. The rink features cabanas, fire pits, skate rentals, helmets, and skate buddies, everything you need to make the most of your time on the ice.

Registration and a waiver are required.
